Abu Dhabi

In transit to Damascus, I stopped for a day to visit with some friends--Jose and Saimora--in Abu Dhabi. Saturday started at 6am and involved an hour-long hike to the bus stop in Dubai to catch my next bus to Abu Dhabi. My phone stopped working and I lost my UAE sim card, but I managed to find Jose, and that night we sent their daughter Anna off to Turkey for a week's vacaction. The next morning, I boarded a plane to Bahrain and then on to Syria.
